“Ideas” with Ira Glass

I haven’t felt like blogging too much. Trying to find some inspiration to write and create again. In the mean time, here are some thoughts from Ira Glass. He’s always a good one to be refreshed by.

“Finding an idea for what you’re going to make your work about, that’s a job in itself. It’s not going to just descend on you like fairy dust. you have to actually go out and look for an idea. Where do ideas come from? They come from other ideas. You have to surround yourself with things that are interesting to you and just notice where your interest goes and where your questions are. Notice what gets you most excited to be thinking about and head towards that. But that’s a task that you have to set for yourself. You have to say: this is the part of the day when I’m doing that.” -Ira Glass
